Carlyn (Kara) Saunders is recognized as
one of the foremost Black Female Authorities
on Diet, Health and Nutrition. Her wide field
of information in diet and nutrition has made
it possible for her to own and operate health
food stores and vegetarian restaurants over
the years. She also operates a cooking school
in Tennessee. Carlyn has traveled all over the
country giving cooking classes in vegetarian
cookery and food combining.
Carlyn has been working in these areas for
40+ years. She is originally from Washington,
DC and a specialist in consumer education.
Carlyn has presented cooking demonstrations
from coast to coast and has written extensively
on raw foods and food combinations.
Carlyn has done tv shows worldwide including
frequent appearances in Memphis, Tennessee,
Illinois and Huntsville, Alabama. She has done
several shows on 3ABN Television as well as
Tennessee Crossroads Television Network.
She has owned and operated a health food store,
the Bible School of Health facility in Clifton
Tennessee, which has since moved to a new
location in Cherokee, Alabama. Cooking
classes and health seminars are given. There

well as the Issues Of Life Wellness Center. They
have a small B&B located on the grounds.

Learning to cook is some of the best training

very enjoyable and brings back the spirit of
sharing with family and friends.
